starting in the Spring of 2022

  • You'll build applications to solve real-world problems and establish a firm understanding of modern web technologies and development workflows.
  • You'll learn all the ins and outs of JavaScript, from IF statements and DOM basics to APIs and React.
  • You’ll receive an Associate Front-End Web Development certificate from Kenzie Academy, showcasing your accomplishments and certifying that you're job-ready.
  • You’ll benefit from meeting with Student Service teams and Career Development teams to identify your goals, celebrate your wins, and coach you towards landing a job in tech.

We are excited to offer the Part-Time Web Developer program for Amazon employees!

Career Choice is an innovative Amazon program uniquely designed to upskill employees who are interested in pursuing advancement within Amazon or a future outside of it. Through its Web Developer program, Kenzie Academy will provide the needed tools to empower you to land a job in a tech-adjacent position where you’ll gain experience in understanding your company and its product, learn its code base, and utilize your soft skills to show your potential and eagerness to learn and advance. In addition to landing jobs as an Associate or Junior Web Developer, alumni have also moved on to work as Quality Assurance Engineers, Cloud Systems Engineers, Desktop Tech Support, Software Engineers, Junior Front-End Engineers, Data Analysts, Tech Support Associates and more.

Amazon will cover 100% of your tuition for full-time employees as long as you have $5,250 available in Career Choice tuition assistance, so you’ll owe $0 in out-of-pocket tuition expenses. If you’re a part-time Amazon employee, you’ll receive $2,625 in your annual budget to use towards Kenzie Academy’s Web Developer program.

Our next class starts on Feb. 7, 2022.

Most employees are eligible to apply after 90 days of full-time employment. Eligibility requirements may vary based on whether you are part-time, full-time, hourly, or salaried.
