CYBERSECURITY FUNDAMENTALS

Kenzie Academy from SNHU is partnering with EC-Council (the global leader in cybersecurity certification programs) to offer Cybersecurity Fundamentals:

The Career Choice cybersecurity program encompasses two EC-Council programs: Network Defense Essentials and Ethical Hacking Essentials. You will receive exam prep and a voucher to take both the Network Defense and Ethical Hacking Essentials online exams.
If you pass the exams and complete the Career Choice program, you will earn 3 credentials: (1) a Kenzie Academy Cybersecurity Fundamentals Certificate — as well as (2) a Network Defense Essentials Certification and (3) an Ethical Hacking Essentials Certification through EC-Council. Certification documents that you have met industry standards.
Network Defense Essentials consists of 12 weeks including Network Security Fundamentals; Identification, Authentication and Authorization; Network Security Controls; Virtualization and Cloud Computing; Cryptography and PKI; and Data Security
Ethical Hacking Essentials consists of 12 weeks including Information Security Fundamentals; Information Security Threats and Vulnerabilities; Password Cracking Techniques and Countermeasures; Wireless Attacks and Countermeasures; IoT and OT Attacks and Countermeasures; and Penetration Testing Fundamentals

EC-Council (the International Council of E-Commerce Consultants) is globally recognized for creating the Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) standards, coining the phrase “ethical hacking” in 2001. EC-Council produces over 20 career-focused, tactical, accredited, and widely recognized cybersecurity certifications.

EC-Council has certified individuals across the world and from organizations like the U.S. Army, the FBI, Microsoft, IBM, and the United Nations. Many certifications have also received endorsements from various government agencies.

Live Sessions and Independent Learning

Be prepared to participate in live learning sessions facilitated by the instructional team during each class using video conferencing. It’s required to be online during the scheduled program hours (8 hours per day, 2 days per week). Outside of these sessions, coursework is completed through independent learning time.
